This is how Tim see’s the trek: “I leave Brighton for Bhopal on July 1st 1999, arriving in Bhopal on the fifteenth anniversary date. The trek is some 6000 + miles: each mile equals a day spent living with the aftermath of that terrible night and over a hundred people poisoned, every quarter mile from Brighton to central India represents another innocent person murdered by the gas. The journey takes me through at least twelve countries and will involve stops to raise money and awareness along the way. “Bhopal is a frightening indicator of the unregulated power multinationals now hold over human rights. It is not too late to join in the gas survivors fight for a disease free and dignified life. Every act of solidarity by gas affected Bhopali's, challenges the power of multinationals to repeat industrial genocide. Only by inciting responsibility can we expect this challenge to succeed. “The clearest and most direct way to apply responsibility is to help ensure the survival of Sambhavna clinic by supporting my journey. Sambhavna survives on individual donations alone - please print out the sponsor form on this site and remind Bhopal that this is not a world without care.” Tim Edwards, 1999
